Dachshund cake

You want to attract your kids into an enjoyable cooking project. We recommend to read and bake! Fridolin book comes to life with this showstopper cake.

Ingredients for cupcakes:


•200g self-raising flour

•350g greek yoghurt

•130g coconut sugar

•150g butter

•4 tbsp carob powder

•4 eggs

•1 tsp vanilla extract

•7g baking powder

• a pinch of salt


Topping:

•200ml double cream

•3 tbsp "Ciococino" powder (a mix of carob powder, cocoa powder and coconut sugar)


Dachshund head and paws:

•250g white sugar paste

•black powder dye

•100g Callebaut dark chocolate


  1. In a large bowl, mix all the solid ingredients.

  2. With an electric whisk, incorporate the eggs, buttermilk and butter into the mixture.

  3. Flavour with vanilla extract.

  4. Spoon the batter into the cupcake tray.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, at 175C, or until a skewer inserted into the middle of the cupcakes comes out clean.

  6.  Leave to cool completely on a wire rack.

For the topping, whisk the ingredients until the mixture is well combined and forms soft peaks.
